Yellow/Black Smash color vinyl. Limited to 500 copies. Comes with "This Dream of Youth" an 87 page book written by drummer Justin Sullivan about the story of the band and the scene that gave it life. The album is a collection of our favorite songs from their discography including tracks from long out of print singles. This project has been a true labor of love. We want to provide a solid document of this band, their moment and the people we've lost for those of us who were there and hopefully for those of you who weren't too.

The best bands, like the best people you meet, leave you with something long after they’re gone. Not just a memory or a ghost, but a part of you that is never really the same. Maybe they aren’t the most famous but they left you and the those who heard them knowing they weren’t alone. This record is a sort of eulogy and wake all in one. Some parting words that are as much for the fallen as they are for those of us left behind…and then come the stories, the drinks, the late night coffees. The glowing faces twisted with laughter and exaggerated storytelling only occasionally hinting at the tears.

Ringers occupies so many spaces for me. Punk, not in posturing or preening, but the heart that you only get from working class kids with something to say. The kids with something to work through and something they want to connect with. Scholars of the best. Taking bits and pieces from every decade of Punk but never aping anyone. They created a patchwork of influences that fit their spirit. Lyrics for those of us with rough upbringings searching for answers within ourselves and without. Kicking over piles of rubble for what we can salvage without reveling in melancholy. Counter that with the sort of words and feelings you get watching an entire country unravel before your eyes. Leaving the outcasts feeling like a pack of thawed out Steve Rogers’. Dealing with the bill of goods we were sold while trying to hold each other up and push forward. Troubled youths suddenly feeling like the last Boy Scouts.

It’s a tough battle. We lost Barker and Ross from this band to it in the end. I don’t think any of us in their orbit took their deaths as a sign to give up though. We carry on. Trying to make sense of what happened and the world around us like we always have. An eye on a break in the clouds. Some star to guide us on. Somebody press play. This is the soundtrack for the ride.
