However, as the decade progressed their sound became more pastoral, meditative and slow burning, until the release of their critically and commercially acclaimed fifth album Cold House in 2001.

Cold House saw the band move to new heights, merging their slowcore, post-rock and folk influences with intricate, atmospheric IDM production and abstract rap from cLOUDDEAD's Doseone and Why?. The record is as innovative as it is catchy and sounds like nothing else. The mixture of organic acoustic and angular electronic instrumentation has seen this album gain a new cult following in recent years, and you can hear its influence across a whole range of contemporary artists, from Bar Italia to Claire Rousay, More Eaze, and Chanel Beads.

Track List:

1 They Removed All Trace That Anything Had Ever Happened Here
2 You Show No Emotion At All
3 Branches Bare
4 Enemy Of Time
5 The Winter Hit Hard
6 I Can't Find My Brittle Youth
7 This Is What We Do To Sell Out(S)
8 The River Curls Around The Town
9 Lines Low To Frozen Ground
10 You're Worth The Whole World

street date 11/13/2026

1-2-3-4 Go!
